Rookie Ball is for players ages 6 & 7 as a progression from Tee Ball. Pitching is introduced in Rookie Ball, with coaches pitching to players.
Players will begin to learn the next level skills of baseball, including the introduction of using a catcher and also introducing the rules of baseball.
Hitters will be thrown 5 pitches, at which time a tee will be available to use. The goal is to begin the skill of hand-eye coordination and swing techniques while gaining confidence of seeing a pitched ball.
A level 5 RIF (Reduced Injury Factor) baseball is used.Teams:As long as volunteer coaching is available, the desire is to keep team sizes to 9 players.With the goal of allowing for more repetitions and learning positions at every game and practice.Teams will be put together based on schools attended. (as available)

Teams will be put together based on schools attended. (as available) Teams will play a six game schedule consisting of a 90 minute game (Saturdays) and practice one day per week. Coaches may add extra practices if they wish.
